Hi, USJ.

So I see that the semester at USJ is starting.  I hope  you all had really great summers. I wish you all the best  for this semester and I can't wait to see you all in December.

On a side note, not a lot happened this week. My debit card got stuck in an ATM here so my bank is sending me another one soon.  There is a lot of stuff to do here in Guadalajara and in Mexico but not without money.

But this situation should all be taking care of by this week and when it is I think that I will be purchasing tickets to go see Juanes.  He is a Colombian singer that sings songs about changing the world for the better and a whole lot of other things that  I like.  So, I am pretty psyched for that. I also have Friday off from school this week do to a school trip to Tequila that I already went on.  As well as the concert I am also thinking of going to Aguascalientes, which is a state just above Guadalajara that has natural hot springs , museums, and a lot of other really cool things or  I am also thinking about going to Manzanillo, which is a local beach that also has many activities this weekend.  We will see and I will be sure to keep you all posted about it.
So, I need to get to studying, and I am sure with the semester starting you all will need to, too. Have a great day and thank you for reading.

New class and New People

This week, after a week of summer vacation, I started my fall semester here in Guadalajara. It is amazing to me how time flies.  Anyways, my first week of classes in level six which for me is a literature class and an overview of everything about grammar in Spanish, went very well.  A lot of new international students came in for the fall and I am having fun meeting them all.  Included in this new round of international students are my new roommates.  I have one that is from Japan, one that is from Romania, and one other from the United States who has been living in Mexico for the past for years.  I am looking forward to continuing this experience with them all. Thanks for reading.

End of Summer Semester/Summer Break

So last week I finished my summer semester. It went by really fast. I will be starting the fall semester on Monday.

I also said goodbye to a lot of the other international students that I became friends with over the summer. Because of this amongst some other things I have started missing some things about home and about Saint Joe's.
So this week, I had the entire week off, I found some new things to do in Guadalajara. During the vacation, I went to the center which is a big market and also went to two museums there. The Museo de Cerda (The Wax Museum) and Aunque Usted No lo Crea ( Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum). I saw some pretty interesting things there including a wax replica of Barack Obama which I had to take a picture with. I also got some new roommates, one from Japan and one from Romania, at the house. This and numerous Kenan and Kel youtube videos, and Hey Arnold and Spongebob episodes in Spanish, and reading the novels Divergent and Insurgent, have helped me get through this little down part of this trip.  I'll let you all know how my first week of the fall semester goes.
